Dr. Lane Smith
Medical Director
Meet Dr. Lane Smith our new Hospital Director, he is a Midwestern University graduate and spent his first years as a veterinarian in the Cave Creek community before joining our team.
Dr. Smith grew up in North Dakota where he developed his love for animals with the support and encouragement of his parents. Animals became his passion, keeping a variety of pets ranging from snakes, birds, and frogs to rabbits, and everything in between.
He excels in all areas of general practice; his gentle and kind demeanor makes him an instant hit with his canine and feline patients. His special interest is soft tissue surgery.
A fun fact about Dr. Smith, he received his bachelor’s degree in marine biology, his passion outside of veterinary medicine is his multiple fresh and saltwater aquariums. Ask him about his fish, he loves to share pictures and stories.
He shares his home with his wife and two spoiled Golden Retrievers, Midas, and Peach and his son.
Outside of work he is passionate about his favorite sport, ice hockey, and plays competitively every week. He also enjoys scuba diving, traveling, and all things fish.
Dr. Chelsei Irving

Meet Dr. Irving. She is a Midwestern University graduate along with being a native to Arizona. Prior to The Pet Wellness Center, Dr. Irving worked in
She has a strong family bond and the love of 3 Horses, along with goats, pups, and many other animals, her passion is truly seen in her life. In her off-time Dr. Irving is a huge Phoenix Suns fan and watches as many games as she can (Go Suns).

Ana
Technician
Ana has been an essential member of The Pet Wellness Team since October of 2021 and has been in the veterinary field for 2 years. Her passion for animals developed as a child and grew stronger as she got older, pulling her to a career in veterinary medicine. She has spent her life surrounded by different animals ranging from dogs, hamsters, birds, a chicken, and a tortoise. The current love of her life is a 13-year-old Chiweenie named Marley who she’s had since he was 6 weeks old. A unique fact about Ana is that she is Croatian and speaks the language fluently. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with Marley and playing video games.
Sandy
Hospital Administrator
Sandy Moore is a certified veterinary technician, who holds a Bachelor of Science in business administration, and a master’s in human resources management. Over her career, she has worked in all areas of veterinary support ranging from kennel technician to receptionist, as a veterinary assistant, a veterinary technician, and a hospital manager. Previously, Sandy held positions at Carrington College as Program Director for the Veterinary Assisting Program. Her most current role is as the Hospital Administrator at The Pet Wellness Center in Phoenix. Not to mention she is a founding member of the Veterinary Health Care Team of Arizona since its establishment and currently serves on the VHCTAz’s Leadership Committee.
With over two decades of experience in veterinary medicine, she uses her knowledge and understanding of animal health and team leadership to train others in the field.
Dogtor Peach
Dogtor Peach began her career in veterinary medicine at 10 weeks of age, when she adopted Dr. Lane Smith. He comes to work with her daily, helping her communicate effectively with her patient’s care takers about keeping their furry friends healthy, happy and safe in this crazy world. Dr. Smith explains to the pet owners how he takes care of her so she can celebrate as many birthdays as possible.
In her time away from The Pet Wellness Center, she loves playing with her human brother, chasing birds and getting belly rubs.
